What’s in and what’s out?
In and out the list is a fun and vital part to know at the end of the year. 2018 is gone and I’m listing last years in and out designs for both North America and Europe. And I’ll also point on what will be trending this year.
IN:
Tropical prints are gone viral last year. Botanical highlights also took part in some houses. Though nature dominated human house’s interior throughout history last year we saw a great transformation. Why not? Nature is the best adviser for us! And no one decorates better than nature.
Bamboo and rattan made furniture has taken the place of wooden furniture. Bamboo and rattan have made it happen because with them the design flow can be endless. Furniture made with them looks stylish and lasts ling than its competitors.
When it comes to metallic furniture, Gold has always been in a sweet spot. We can see this metal in bathroom, living rooms and in many places in the interior. No matter how much it costs, it is the symbol of glamour and class. Gold also gives a furniture looks gorgeous and shiny!
Pink & Blue. People love to see the reflection of blue water from their walls. Aqua water is most probably the most favorite color to decorate the interior wall. Aqua blue is the most pleasing and highlighted color which represents the sea. In another dimension, in Europe, Pink is the new red. Gray walls are boring. So the Europeans choose Pink to pop up. It’s better to see pink than their grayish color.
OUT:
Fringed hanging artwork has lost its position, unfortunately. Macrame has not developed since its creation. Fringed hanging is not a real decor in these days. It takes places and it dares to look old!
The Philippe Starck Ghost chairs are at the dead end now. We can see that these type of furniture is in it’s passe.
The era of stainless steel and copper furniture has seen their judgment day! (kidding!). These stainless steel furniture has lost their trend. It looks like nothing but boring now!
We all know interior design is a work of art. This is 2019 and we know this is the year of TECH. Now we depend a lot on technology. And technology has strengthened our hand of ability. When it comes to interior or exterior design, the computer might be our 2nd best friend. Obviously, TECH can’t go without the human brain, so after making a 2D interior design plan by a human hand, it’s up to the tech to make a 3D rendering architectural visualization services of that 2D sketch. So that, human eyes can differ the light and shadows between a table and chair.
